Well, my office has received the latest AutoCAD, and ADT 2007 – in DVD format for a change. Time to start planning the next implementation.
Also as of 4/13, Revit 9 is now shipping. You can download the trial version or order a CD here: http://www.autodesk.com/revitbuilding
With a new Rooms object, detail library, & better IFC integration and import/export with SketchUP files, this release has a lot of things to get excited about. A more comprehensive review will follow in an upcoming post.
In order to better take advantage of ADT, Building Systems or Civil 3D, we need a clear understanding of the basic tools for ‘drafting’.
Even with ‘intelligent objects’, we can’t draw everything. Today, I’ll be in Boston at this month’s Greater Boston Autodesk User Group meeting presenting on using AutoCAD’s drawing aids for placing geometry quickly and accurately.
